DC Film Society’s “And the Winner Is…” Oscar Night
DC Film Society's 32nd Annual Party Watch the Oscars Broadcast ... LIVE ON THE BIG SCREEN! It's the next best thing to being there!
Be in on the fun at DC Film Society's "AND THE WINNER IS..." Oscars watch party on March 2.
It’s hard to believe that in a few short years the Motion Picture Academy will celebrate its 100th birthday - but number 97 is almost upon us - and the best way to be in on the celebration is to attend Washington, DC Film Society’s annual Oscars Watch Party, “And the Winner is…” on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Advance tickets are now on sale online. On-site door sales start at 5:30pm, followed by doors open for Red Carpet shows at 6:00pm, then the ceremony starting at 7:00pm. All proceeds support DC Film Society’s parent organization, the Washington DC Int’l Film Festival - Filmfest DC.
Now that the Golden Globe Awards have been awarded and other organizations dole out their honors, see if you can outguess the “experts” on how they will match up with the Academy nominees and winners.
DC Film Society and Director Michael Kyrioglou invite film-lovers to their event at Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike in Arlington) hosted by two of DC’s (and Film Society’s) favorite critics and long-time co-hosts, Tim Gordon and Travis Hopson, bringing their depth of knowledge, and humor about, everything Hollywood and nominee related attendees will want to know.
And There’s More!
Our traditional favorites - the Silent Auction with various movie items (auction is cash/check only), the Predict the Winners contest, movie and theatre tickets, movie posters and fun giveaways, are not forgotten but you’ll have to be there to participate.
Tickets are on sale NOW and will be available at the door starting at 5:30pm. Doors to the theater will open at 6:00pm so you can catch the traditional Red Carpet arrivals with the main awards ceremony beginning at 7:00pm. Come hungry as there’s plenty of food and drink available from the Drafthouse menu (credit cards accepted).
Admission is 21 and Over Unless Accompanied By a Parent
